The Jose Buono thrives is bright, indirect light. Medium light and partial shade works as well. Never place this plant in direct sunlight, as this will burn its leaves which will cause them to become pale in color and later turn brown. However plants with variegations are not able to tolerate as much low light as much as those that have solid green leaves. Variegated sections of foliage are not able to absorb sunlight, and aren't not involved in the photosynthesis process. As such in darker or lower lit conditions, the plant will begin to reach out towards the light source becoming leggy and bending toward one direction. Allow soil to dry out a bit before watering again. Typically once a week will do.
