Phalaenopsis Orchid General Care
Light:
Thrives in medium to bright indirect light, but can tolerate low indirect light.
Water:
Water lightly every 2 or 3 days. Instead of soil, the plant is grown in bark. This allows for excellent drain-
age, but requires more frequent watering. Do NOT allow this plant to sit in water, this will kill the roots.
Also, Do NOT water the crown where new growth emerges, This can kill your plant.
Humidity
Any humidity level will do.
Temperature
Flowers/Buds: Flowers last longer in cool temperatures. Heat will cause blooms to open faster, but also
shortens the owers viability as a long lasting bloom.
Plant: Average home temperature of 65°F-75°F. It’s best not to let it go below 60°F.
