The Plumeria or Frangipani is a flowering plant grown here in Hawaii. Cultivated and hybridized for many many years. Kona Candy’s flowers are cheerfully colored. Each bloom has a deep golden center with intense pink edging and backsides. These flowers are fragrant. This hybrid can be difficult to find, so we are happy to offer this special breed! These plants are large, fully rooted, and ready to grow! We cut off the leaves prior to shipping. This plant enjoys full sun! in fact it requires 6-8 hours of full sun in order to bloom at all! Very well draining soil is very important to prevent root rot. larger pots require less water then smaller sized pots. fertilize only when blooming or growing new foliage, when dormant no fertilizer is needed. This plant is fully rooted and ready to grow!

I have this plant growing in my garden. It does get plenty of sun, but because of latest heat wave i have it in a large pot and it gets sun early. Last year it bloomed beautifully, but it hasn’t bloomed yet this year.
I also cut a branch off and potted in some rich soil. Those two young plants are doing fine, but they get only morning sun.
